I have an XB43, and i love it, but the Boombox 2 gives more powerful bass because its size. It can destroy a smaller room with the right placement. :D

XB43 guy here, I have had the speaker for over a year now and for the price I bought it, 166 USD I can say 100% that it was worth it, it's more than enough to fill a room with very loud music and outside you can hear it from over 50M/164 feet away . It has a pretty deep bass though not the deepest, very good highs and good mids . The main issue I find with this speaker is that you can't carry it around easily since it doesn't have a handle or anything to carry it around, you have to hold it in your hand or in a bag which is not ideal since the speaker weighs 3kg/6.6 lbs

yeah ok the the xb43 is much smaller than the boombox, but the bass is still awesome!

I have the boombox 2 its really good once its had a proper time to wear in below half it certainly gets better the annoying thing is i believe around 45hz its just too over powering and too much its like a sudden boom of bass then mellow again depending on the song obviously but outside its not a problem

I bought sony srs xb43 on special offers, connecting on mobile via bluetooth is great, but connecting to older led TV via audio jack brought the inner beast since tv was like digital amplifier is sound superior.. i am happy with it and tested with song "Gangnam style "

Even though the Sony has a little less bass the sound stage is clearly better you can hear it sounds so much cleaner.

I have two SONY, XB43 and XB33, Paired the sound is incredible. The cost of acquiring both is much cheaper than the price of the JBL

I have experienced this before, sony provides straight forward bass right onto us, while Hk, Jbl using the "heavy" vibration for bass. Vibration makes the Hk and Jbl sound awful in little size rooms.
