I’ve never done this, but I’ve had some very, very bad habits because of neglect. I wish the best for my younger siblings

They feel release. Its very sad to know a child could be in that much distress

I would do things like this bc it would be the only way to distract myself from my mind. It is / was more of an act of desperation. I never understood it either until i was in an extrwme situation long term

The same reason people would do matam for. The pain in us leads us to do matam and beyond.
