What a heavy story. I'm going to watch the movie.
To be honest, the woman who's husband has kidnapped the children doesn't do what's right. When it comes to the boy, she only thinks about her feelings and doesn't allow him to move on. I can't imagine her tragedy but that kid deserved to have a good life with his parents. If a boy was kidnapped, he would have been crying every night, begging for his mother. She would have known what was up. If I were her, I would do anything I could to ease the pain of a child my husband hurt and would take moral responsibility on me. Fight for her daughter would be noble but everything is tainted because of her behaviour towards the boy.

In China, it's really hard to find missing children. Because of the population, because of 1 children policy(than goodness this law has changed), because of only wanting a male child. There is one story where a mother spend almost 30 years of her life finding her son after he was stolen. Fortunately, he was finally found. He was sold and adopted by another family in a different District. Unfortunately, he doesn't have as much attachment to his real mother but he does regard her love and sacrifice for him. The story is very heart touching, there is a movie about it too. So sad!

After my divorce, I started drinking alcohol a lot and that led to a nasty custody battle between me and my mom for me son who was still an infant at the time. His father was on my mother side. I eventually willingly let my mom take my child while I work on me. I dont drink anymore and while I can meet my son anytime I wish, and talk often on video calls, the pain of not having him with me is the worst thing I have ever experienced. I have not remarried and don't wish to have more child. The experience of not having my child with me, even though I know he is okay and well taken care of is unbearable.. I blame myself for everything... I can not imagine what these parents are going through... prayers for them...

In real life they only found Pengpeng through D.N.A. after he was already an adult, he was born in 1992 (so older than anyone reading this) and he already had a child when his biological parents found him. They never gave up and he was happy to meet his biological parents after they finally found him.
