I have to disagree, I understand what you mean by the 'lack of theme' but honestly, The last album, "you're dead" was pretty heavy for me. Great album, Probably one of the best albums I've ever had. It really spoke to me. A friend of mine recently overdosed and died right before the album dropped. And all I could imagine was her throughout that whole entire album. It made me really think about death, To a point that I began to feel a strong depression. Its probably one of his best albums, even though "Cosmograma" is my favorite. "you're dead" made me feel something, that was dark, heavy, lonely and cold. IT was nice to listen to something that wasn't so heavily on the death aspect. I originally got into FLYLO for the stars and imagery on adult swim bumps.

I am a huge Flying Lotus fan but I have to agree with the melon. This album was underwhelming and lacked the cohesion and stylistic focus of his previous work. I really don't get why people are so mad about the score.

albums not objectively a 5/10 but by flylo standards it was. deffo his worst. the production pales to all of his previous work and the album flow is awkward. nowhere near as punchy as los angeles, atmospheric as youre dead or abstract as until the quiet comes

but mediocre for flylo is great by many artists standards and this albuum definitely had great tracks and can stand on its own

I didn’t really care for the album as a whole but that track “More” is honestly my favorite FlyLo song ever. Anderson’s beautiful and inspiring lyrics with those classic thundercat bass arpeggios touches my soul.
