Polls show Newsom as a clear favorite in the June 5th primary election where the top two advance. According to polls, Antonio R. Villaraigosa & John Cox for Governor 2018 are locked in a dogfight for second place.
Newsom isn't talking much about Villaraigosa these days but is discussing Cox. "If that's the best the Republican party can do, someone in the image of Donald Trump, then the Republican party is in serious trouble."
