One of the heroes Evelyn's father attempted to call is GazerBeam. In the first movie, it is revealed that he was murdered by Syndrome, so that would explain why he didn't answer the call.

There is a short called Auntie Edna - it's 5 minutes of Jack Jack and Edna "bonding" the night Bob drops jack off to get his Super Suit. Its fabulous.

If you notice, none of the suits Edna gave the family ever got damaged or torn. This movie, elastagirls new suit not made by her ends up tearing. Just a cool detail

I love all the little details like how Frozone realised that the kids needed a protector that couldn't be corrupted, so he used the car, or how when Voyd is under Evelyn's control, all of her portals are really precise and perfect, but when she's freed from it, her self-doubt returns and she misses her portals.

What made it hard for Bob after Helen’s first mission was that she was celebrated for saving the train, when in the beginning of the first movie, he did the same thing and was ridiculed and sued for it. Both trains are even halfway off the tracks at the same angle. You can see how that can be depressing for him.

There’s a Pixar Easter 17 years in the making. If you remember in the first Monster’s Inc. movie, the news report was talking about they were “shook like a doll” and “laser beam eyes”. Remember when Jack Jack was teleporting through dimensions? That could’ve been Jack Jack they were talking about in Monster’s Inc and not Boo like we thought.

The diner scene is probably my favourite scene in the whole movie, I always laugh when she shoots water out of her nose in front of the boy she likes. I think everyone who has been through puberty can remember that feeling and relate.

3:54 “it’s the 21st century!” Many people didn’t realize that the time is set in the 1960s. It was already obvious to me as a child because everything looks old or outdated like my grandma’s stuff. It went over so many people’s heads that in the second one, they made things more obvious, like close ups of the tv remote, where you can only see two switches on it, close ups of the tv itself, having the girls in the beginning wear the poodle skirts, the diner being old fashioned, them “changing” math (caused upheaval in the 60s when they changed the way equations were supposed to be done; parents were stressed tryna help their kids when they didn’t even know how to do it), etc. So when Helen suggested Bob watch the kids and he was against it, it genuinely was coming from a mindset of he’s the male so he needs to be the breadwinner.

There is a limit about how far Elastigirl can stretch in the 1st movie while Bob is looking for Elastigirl information on Syndrome's computer up to 300 feet i think

This movie took a very famous trope, "wife goes to work and finds out husbands job really is too hard, husband stays home and finds out wifes work is too much for him", and does something new. What if wife goes to work and.... she's great at it! Even better than him! And what if dad stays home and turns out.... he's great!!! And relates even better to the kids!". It's a great concept, of both partners respecting each other without needing to elevate or lower any position, but just accept that they're different, and you may like either.

What makes the death of the father more heartbreaking, is that the reason the two supers never picked up the phone is because they were victims of Syndromes killer robot in the first movie. They literally couldn't come to his aid because they were already dead (and apparently neither of them had anyone who knew they were missing/deceased). She's blaming the supers for not coming, but in reality, it's Syndome's fault, a villain.
