Pro tip for cutting the outer cable. If you have it, take a bit of old brake cable and slip it inside the housing and then make your cut. The inner cable will help keep the housing from crushing as much and make it easier to sort out after the cut.

May I ask? Have you ever had problems with those little „tire guides“ below the brake pad? I think they are plastic and supposed to prevent the caliper to scratch the rim. But in fact with my carbon rims these guide screws are always so close to the rim and on both rims I have scratches all the way around. How can these be a good idea?

Your a go to favorite however, shouldn't the tire release be closed before tightening there pinch bolt?

I got sram rival front brake on my single speed road bike and I have trouble adjusting the brake when I switch from track wheels to road wheels. I like to use different wheels since my bike can fit 700x28c tires. Would you guys recommend this ultegra 8000 model

Can you use these calipers with Sram Force Axs shifters? Granted yes it may not be "ideal" and there are different cable pull ratios as well too. I have the Sram Red Aerolink but it's spongey and it doesn't like to stay centered. So I was wondering how much performance is to be gained or lost by mixing and matching the manufacturers of the shifters and the calipers? Thanks!

Am I right in thinking that Ultegra BR8000 rim brake caliper WILL function correctly with Ultegra ST6800 rim brake brake lever?

Pretty much the same as 105 brakes, I don't think there's that tiny adjustment screw though.
