A year senior to my pop. With the originals gone, what is left over, I have to turn it off. No contest. RIP Eddie. It will never be the same without you.

Good morning 1WrestlingVideo!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and warm wishes for Mr. Eddie Marlin's Family.

I know they do sincerely appreciate the love and support.

Mr. Bill Apter is right when he said Eddie Marlin gave his life to wrestling, wrestling fans worldwide but especially in Memphis, TN. Classic wrestling. Always good, every Saturday in those WMVC TV Channel 5 Studios there in Memphis for years. Even in poor health and old age Eddie was always around for the good of the fans and the sport he so loved devoting his time and talents to a bygone era in the sport of Kings.

God rest your soul Eddie Marlin. Thank you.

Sad to hear of the passing of another legend. Condolences to the family and friends. I often hear stories told by Jerry Lawler and Jim Cornett about Mr Marlin and always seemed like he was a class guy to be around. Thank you, Mr Apter for your timely update and as always professionalism.

‪Eddie Marlin was so kind to me when I worked In Jackson, TN. Wrestling promoter for Jerry Jarrett in Memphis. So sorry he has passed away. I’m a little late hearing this news. ‬

My dad worked for Nick Gulas as a "jobber" in the 1960s-70s. As he got older, he couldn't physically perform in the ring after about 1975. But, he sided with Jerry Jarrett in 1978 when Jerry split off from Nick. He always thought the world of Eddie Marlin, who continued to pay him for coming to Saturday morning TV and Monday nights at the Mid-South Coliseum, despite the fact that he couldn't really wrestle anymore.

89 is a great run, when somebody who is that old passes away, you'll celebrate their life, not mourn it. He completed the circle of life. RIP.

I remember him well. 89 years old is pretty impressive after years of abusing his body in the ring. Always rough to lose a friend Bill no matter how old.
