I remember watching this as a family when it first came out (we used to do things like that: eat dinner together, have certain shows that we all watched) and when the end credits rolled, we all practically leapt off the couch shouting about how it was just getting to the good part!

If there's one episode of TNG you could commission to add to the series, it must surely be a part 2 for 'Cause and Effect'!
