My two friends that are sisters their mom went missing last month. The police didn't look for her because she had prior run-ins with them in her early years. All they did a week later was put on a missing persons report and that's it. She's still missing.

I honestly only watched a 1-minute video that they caught the guy, and YouTube, like me, was confused because I kept scrolling past the "Breaking News" section. I didn't understand why I didn't care as much. I stopped watching the news after the elections, and I never ever watched the news before this year.
Now, though, I understand why I didn't care. Sam found the words I Couldn't to explain my feelings, and I no longer feel guilty. My heart does go out to his family and all the people who knew him more than just a CEO, because no matter how rich you are, no one deserves to go through grief while the media covers all about the person you're grieving. I can't imagine how raw it must feel to lose someone and have the whole country talking about it.
But guilty I do not feel. Not anymore.
