One interesting thing I found out whilst grinding Pale Prince was that, the more I rush the fight, the easier it will be.
Theoretically, it makes sense, since you'd deal with fewer attacks. But being aggressive against such a hard and annoying fight, never stood out to me as being "easier".

Useful charms, aside from the obvious QSlash and Strength, are Steady Body, Mark of Pride, and Shaman Stone/Soul Eater.

Steady Body just makes it easier to deal with the barrage of nails that the boss slams down here and there.
Mark of Pride absolutely helps here, because you're always on edge, trying to keep up with the fight, and one missed pogo has a 90% chance to end in you being hit. Also it helps to keep more distance away from the boss when needed.
Shaman is better than Soul Eater for constant damage, but it's important to keep track of your own soul as you're fighting. I've had numerous times where I died because I didn't realize I didnt have soul.
