Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It is the coming-of-age story of a young boy named Steven, who grows up with three magical aliens, the "Crystal Gems" Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, and helps them protect the world from their own kind. A part of Cartoon Network Studios' artist-driven "Shorts Program", Steven Universe is the first Cartoon Network series to be created by a woman, and was developed by Sugar while she worked on Adventure Time as a storyboard revisionist.

For 5 years, I've been preparing for a business management and chemistry pathway... but I've always drawn. I mean, it's so risky and I feel stupid for even thinking this, but I just want to draw. Even now, I neglect physics and english homework, just to write arcs and designs for characters no one really even sees. Don't misunderstand: I'm NOT dumb and lazy. I hear and remember everything my teachers say. I ace the tests. It's just... I want to do something that feeds my soul, something I actually care about, but I don't want to fail and starve... please, can an adult just give me some really good advice? Like forget recruiting and all that for a minute? Maybe take a look at some of my work and give me your straight opinion on my chances of being a story boarder?

Wish I could afford to go to this school. But I'm not even american, so its
tough. But I'm managing to learn animation and drawing by myself, at least for now. I hope to get somewhere near the animation industry someday. Rebecca Sugar is my main inspiration, I look up to her so much!
