Still have my 1991 Camry estate. Handed down from new through the family. 356k Miles, Still original engine and running gear and it's never failed an MOT!

where toyota loses in interior design and infotainment system, they win in engine reliability from what it seems

You should see the base Camry in Russia. It has a 2.0 liter petrol with 150hp, and a radio from the 90s. No infotainment screen. It's awesome.

doesn’t really matter how it handles, or whether the cup holders feel cheap.... It will never break. These reviews always understate this point. So why compare to a Vauxhall or VW?? Great car for sensible people.

I just bought a 2019 Toyota Camry LE that I think is one of the most beautiful sedan on the road and one of the best Toyota Camry ever created. the interior of the Camry is well design, spacious and comfortable. The 4 cylinders engine have enough power for the car and the trunk has a lot of space. I bought the Camry because it is one of the most reliable car in the world. I expect to drive it for 7 years without engine and transmission problem.

It's funny how I take this Camry as a cab to work every day here (in the UAE) and I'm watching a review of this car rn. Gotta love carwow for doing supercars to budget cars, love it! Keep up the good work!

As an Arab dude, we had 6 camry's (I'm 22), still got 3 until now, the oldest is an 07 with a manual and it's almost 290k km now! A bit shitty brakes but it's truly an amazing car!

Different regions, different preferences

1. Brits and Europeans who focus more on sportiness, driving dynamics, precision, attention to detail on a car's quality and use of use of its tech.
2. Larger countries like US, Canada Australia, focus on relaxed cruising, long lasting reliable larger cars and SUVs driving neverending miles.
3. For the fast growing billions in south Asia, Middle east and Africa "Reliability" is foremost n paramount and the love of high clearance SUVs across the regions due to broken roads, potholes and torn infrastructure. This region is least interested in two seater, small nippy cars.

Japanese interier quality has a lot in common with German engine and transmission quality.

I've had a 2013 hybrid since 2014, and it's never skipped a beat.

Say what you want about the Camry but it's one of those cars you could buy tomorrow and your great grandchildren will be able to drive it in 70 years time.

I actually quite like the Japanese door locks. People in my family generally like to pry on my 5 Series' door locks until either the handle snaps or the lock breaks. This just stops them from damaging the locks. If they could find a better way to hide the lock, I'd say it's perfect.
