RUNNING BACK THE GOAT DECKLIST! Lumra Living Wish Lands v2 (Legacy MTG)

I play a Magic: the Gathering Online Legacy league with a post-ban version of the Lumra Living Wish Lands deck that rocked the channel a few weeks ago. This mass land destruction prison style deck seeks to Wasteland, Ghost Quarter, Field of Ruin, and Demolition Field its way to victory, ultimately destroying any remaining creatures with Drop of Honey or The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. Let's see what the Grief ban world looks like!

27:33 Phil saying “We can just kill our opponent with seven collector ouphe attacks” with a straight face has killed me I fear

I'm never going to get tired of decks that can put opponents down to zero permanents.

did the audio editing change? something about the rhythm of editing cuts made it feel like there was no room to breathe, at 14:05 for example

Seeing the success of this deck really makes me wonder how much better traditional lands could be if it ran multiple tabernacles

I think some of the cuts are a little too close together, and the slow pacing of your videos is something that keeps me watching. It was a bit weird.

Love the channel, Phil. Editing felt like it shifted. Video felt very very frantic.

this deck is sick and twisted.

I love it.

Dampening sphere might be interesting in this deck. It is a harder stax piece than thorn against stormy decks while hindering you less and it also bricks ancient tomb and cralde which are some of the easiest ways your opponents can get out of the mana choke

Mate... this is handsdown the most entertaining deck ever. Was the last time. Is this time. Will be the next time. Its just awesome.
Even if you go 0-5 i would love it. But you wont. Magic gods are with you on this one

For a second I was like "Hell yeah this deck is reasonably budget in paper" then I looked up the price on Tabby.... ooof

That play at 53:19 was so insanely sick holy shit. i did not see that line but it was fucking brilliant and so cool and effective holy shit.

The opponent casting Echo of Eons to get rid of Collector Ouphe, just for you to draw it was pure entertainment XD
I had literally the same laugh as you did at the same time.

i am supprised to not see a single copy of Yavimaya, Crade of Growth in the list to turn all those utility lands into actual green mana.

appart from this, the list looks pretty solide, even tho i would do some small changes

I can never tell with Thorn of Amethyst in these creature-light lists whether the theory is we'll never want sphere effects against decks that include creatures, or if the theory is that we forgot to consider Sphere of Resistance while deckbuilding.

This deck is sweet. I loved it last time. Still great this time. Would love to see it again.

Hey Phil 44:14 it doesn't hurt to put Drop of Honey on the stack, of it resolves and the opponent doesn't have a counter spell or an upkeep bow masters, then the Drop of Honey kills the Harbinger of the seas unlocking Maze of Ith, unless they happen to have a second Harbinger in hand. I know that's a lot of loops to jump through, but there was a line.

So I’ve been branching off this list, combining it a bit with the old 8 mulch style and seems to be working much better. There’s more selection with 6 mulches in the deck, still a 36 land/24 spell split. It doesn’t go as heavy into a focus of land destruction/tabernacle all in plan and winds up more well balanced overall. Has the full living wish package with some more targets that didn’t get noticed here, Phyrexian Revoker/Questing Beast to deal with plainswalkers, Kraul Harpooner/Voracious Hydra as your fight creatures, and leans more heavily into making use of Sunken Citadel, and going into Blast Zone rather than maxing Tabernacles. Also Haywire mite to deal with things like the One Ring.
