Def looks like someone filled it with the crap they got in other units they purchased, then resold that unit

Ouch, $2200 for nothing. Was that starting price?

About 25 years ago a friend of mine was buying auction storage units before the reality TV shows came into existence. For about 10 years he made a lot of money doing it because he was smart and he knew where to sell the good stuff and he knew how to get rid of the junk quickly. He had two assistant who helped him sell stuff on eBay. With the knowledge everyone has today and Google Etc you'd be lucky to make 20% of what my friend was making back then. So many people are doing it now.

It still blows my mind that people will pay $2200 for a storage unit full of stuff that you might get $500 for after hosting several garage sales

I use to work there, they open the pods take all the good stuff, and then they go for sale or auction.

I did this once paid $10k for a container and it turned out to be 40, 000 fake sunglasses. Sold most of them for $5 a piece made somewhere around $120k before I just gave away the rest. You never know

There was actually a treasure in there, he just couldn’t see it because his sunglasses wouldn’t stay on his forehead.

Ouch! About twice the price of 2008 storage auctions - before Storage Wars premiered on TV. Those were the good old days!

It’s gonna cost a lot after you pay dump fees to get rid of everything!

The PODs auctions in NY are same, all gone through. The boxes are all open and tossed about in the container.

if the previous owner can’t even pay the pod fee, why would you think it’s full of valuables?

some of that stuff was really pretty and in good shape. how much was the value of everything?

Lmao when a tweaker deludes himself into wearing that stupid shit on his face and head then over exaggerates the Claire’s box with a aluminum ring.

Had a friend that needed to clean all of the crap and junk accumulated over the years before he moved. Got a pod, filled it with all the useless crap in the house. Put in storage and never paid another dime. These guys likely to find that one. 😄

The main thing is, items with real value wont be stored in those containers. There may be some cases where huge sums of Cash was found. But its 1/10000 at best.
You will find some nice Furniture etc, but chances to equal the price you paid are extremely low.

You need to find at least 4-5 good items to get that money back.

If you come out +/- 0 at the end of the year its a miracle.

You got scammed!! They do this, at these auction facilities and pod auctions the people running these facilities fill up containers of junk that people don't take from other sales or they go thru the units and take all the good stuff for themselves and sell the junk in a full unit to make more money off it, because they sell for more when stuffed.
