Great video. As an adult 1/43 enthusiast it is nice to see anything related to the topic.Thank you for putting out 1/43 content.

I have a bunch of Carrera but H.O. Scale is more fun, to me anyway. Faster cars with G-Force and wall huggers.
When “Toys Are Us” was still around I’d wait until after Christmas or any holiday really and find sets on sale for way cheap. You could generally get a track with one feature like a loop, high banks or a ramp for 20 or 30 bucks.
I’d buy stacks of them frequently. I amassed well over 400’ of track and have a car lot and junk yard because every time you get the small sets you have 2 cars, a power supplies and 2 controllers. I have a pretty big box of controllers lol.
My buddy and I built an 8’ x 14’ quad layered track at one point with about a 2’ tall corkscrew in one corner and multiple loops. It also went up the wall and on the ceiling. It was Frickin’ Awesome!!! We ended up wearing hard hats and safety glasses because you can still break a wall hugger off of the track and when it flies off the ceiling you have a high chance of getting slammed in the head with those little projectiles. 😆 Bought one of those old people grabby sticks for car recovery. 👍
I ended up buying bulk 9” straight stack packs because we had way too many radius pieces. That’s where the huge corkscrew came from. We had to run 2 power strips with all the transformers divided up best as we could and we extended the supply cables with speaker wire. Man, that was the most Epic setup I’ve ever had or seen. The only thing that would have been better is if we’d have been able to make quad lanes that paralleled each other for 4 racers.
At any rate… SLOT CARS RULE!!!! 🏎️ 💨

I see Carrera has the Ferrari GT car set without wireless controllers on sale for $88US. I wish I had realized what I was looking at when I saw this set at Costco. I just started to take an interest because my son is getting to an age where something like this would be fun. I was thinking the Paw Patrol racers Carrers Go set I saw. When I was a kid my brother and I had a Tyco TCR slotless race set. It was so much fun.

I think with that lane changer track theres a greater chance of a crash because you're more apt to be running side-by-side than a 1/4 lap behind on that criss-cross intersection and if you set it up right you'll be able to see the other car before a possible crash.

Its a great deal and the perfect Christmas gift for any racing fan 🏎 🏎

Thank you for the video ✌️😎

I got into the Carrera Go sets last year when I saw they had the F1 cars. I've bought a bunch of extra sets and cars this year. They are alot fun when you add in longer straights, wider faster turns and banked curves compared to the more compact starter sets.

I have this set and added extra straight for a longer runs and this track design is a lotta fun. The wireless controller are new and mine didn’t come with them but a real huge upgrade not to be tied to the track. Have fun I know you will 🏎👍👍

Im so glad you posted a review on this set, you did a excellent job and without you posting it i would have never seen it or had the chance to get one myself, i did some research and seen that this set was a Canadian Costco only set and i was only able to get one on eBay and now there are none to be found for sale anywhere, there was a ebay seller in Canada that posted 50 sets for sale and the next day they pulled the posting for some reason. The cars you can buy individually i see but have been sold out on the Carrera web site. I bought my set before Christmas and now just 2 days after Christmas i have spent almost 500.00 US more on it getting track and now i can use my 1/43 Kyosho dslot cars on it. I do have a HO slot collection but this is by far my favorite now and hopefully my last slot set being i collect way to many scale vehicles going into my 60's and running out of room LoL

Great review of what looks like a good value . We have been testing and racing Carrera Go F1 slot cars for quite awhile now on our 1/24 scale Evolution track along with all other scales HO to 1/24th scale for our youtube channel. The impressive feature here is the new f1s and the wireless controllers. I hope to get ahold of those F1s somehow to run on our Evolution track! Anyway nice to see your video!🏁

They have this set at Guelph Costco! Never got into this as a kid but i think i found a new hobby. My son is a bit young still but he really likes it and is getting the hang of it.

Im wondering if there are good alternatives to the main configuration/ways to have the track completely flat. Guess ill have to buy more track for this

Little trick with the cars buy small strong magnets. Drill some holes as close to the rear as possible put in the magnets. It will hold the car to the track better

I picked one up in Winnipeg a few weeks ago. My son and I have been having a blast!
You scored on those loose package cars! I ordered some from Carrera and they're more expensive direct.

Hey Mo. Nice set you got there. We can`t get this set over here. We have the Wireless Formula Free Racing, which has a Loop inside the set and it is a bit shorter in its length, with no banked curves.
I personally don`t like the Loop, but the kids sure do! The shorter straigth pieces you have mentioned are third ones (114mm). The others a half straight (171mm). There are also shorter ones (100mm), but not in that set. You can get them sepperatly. There are three Extension Sets. Set 1 and 2 includes the lanechanging pieces (228mm). Set 1 has two 90 degree curves and two long straight pieces (342mm), plus lanechangers. Set 2 has 4 long straights, two 114mm (thoses are the thirds), 2 lanechanging pieces (that have to be connected both in the track, because only one will not let the track function. No power). One narrow straight piece and a fly-over. Set 3, which I bought next two Set 1 has 8 full straights and four 45 degree curves, plus the baned curve No. 1 (tighter radius). I personally don`t connect the intersection piece like you, too. The cars underneath rub on the elevation of the plastic parts in the middle, like they do on the lanechanging pieces. There is also a single lane extension set, so you could build a pit-stop for instance, or a ride around a barrier, or run into the loop differntly in distance. There are also gates that lead both lanes to th right and left side. When I got back into the slotcar hobby a few years ago, I started with the Go!! system and got me two sets. Both had no loopings in it. One had a Corvette C7.R and a Viper in it and the other had two Ferrari 488 GT3`s in it. That set also incl. the chicane ond both banked curves, like yours. But no fences inside. There were banks in each set. The supports were in red, yours had grey ones, which I find better in terms of the color. I later had been given an extra F1 track as a gift, with a loop inside and the elder corded controllers . Those wireless controllers are cool and I might get them extra sometime. The two extra F1`s are cool especially Hamiltons livery looks cool. You got yourself the basic start now and I would recomend you to get the Extension Set 3 with 8 straights and the 45 degree curves, plus the banked curve No. 1. Gives you more length to use that booster. Look out in the banked curves when using the booster. release the booster before the curves and than push it down! Especially the F1`s, which are the fastes Go!! cars tend to derail and those spoilers in the front will break real fast! And yes, there are two digital round counters. One is also usable for the 132/124 tracks and a smaller one, that is mounted on one side of the track. The first one goes over the track. You can extend the track for much, much longer size and the power won`t let you down, compared to the 132/124 sized track. Mine is over 30 Meters and no power issues at all! 🙂

That particular track is a good value because of the included banked turns and wireless control.

Seeing they now have a wireless set I just might get it. Not seeing it on the Carrera web site. I used to be a slot car guy but when R/C got big in the 80's I went with that being more realistic but lately thinking about getting into 1/43 slot because I have a few Kyosho dslot in my collection of dnano stash.

Hey Massimo, that's a nice Layout and nice cars. Those cars are pretty fast.

That's awesome, I didn't know they had wireless controllers for go. The Go Boost button might as well be called the Crash Button.😂
