For clarity:
- ENTPs and ISTPs also make an amazing duo too, this video is just focussing on the ways in which they clash.
- 'Grounded' should be 'grounding' - I'm currently sitting on the grammatical naughty step.

ENTP comes up with the ideas. ISTP makes them a reality.

I'm an ENTP, I used to work with an ISTP. We clashed just once. Apart from that it was a smooth and respectful relation. Best co-worker I've ever had. We could tell each other some harsh truths but neither would take it personally.

Being an ENTP I find myself admire the ISTP most of the time. Their ”not giving a f**k” is so refreshing and to the point.

I love ISTPs, I've gotten along with every ISTPs I've met. They're so chill, logical, great listener, super dependable.

I’m an ENTP married to an ISTP. We get along very well, but this explains so much. We literally went to pick out stone for our steps yesterday and I got so overwhelmed by possibilities I was like “ugh they’re all grey just pick one.”

I’m an INFJ, but I’m here for anything regarding ISTP’s. My husband is a ISTP and there’s nothing he can’t do. They’re the brilliant, silent types.

Yeah can confirm, Ne drives me nuts. I once had an Ne dom friend who would constantly bring up these insane impossible scenarios like "What if a bird flew in the window and mutated and got super buff and we had to fight it". And i would entertain these to a certain extent but it was literally a constant bombardment and man was it draining... Eventually i would just zone out and have to get away and get some space.

I find ISTPs to be very valuable team players. - ENTP

Istp’s are no nonsens people. Choose your words carefully, otherwise you will loose their interest.

Socrates (ENTP) was the teacher of Diogenes (ISTP), and Diogenes was said to be Socrates gone mad. Socrates showed people how they were wrong by working a person through conversation. Diogenes just showed people how they were wrong, hence the famous “behold, I bring you a man” interaction between Diogenes and Plato. Plato defined a man as a featherless biped. Diogenes plucked a chicken of all of its feathers and brought it to Plato (I think in front of his class) and said something like “behold, I bring you a man”. Honestly a really interesting way to look at their interactions with personality types. My mother is an INFJ, like Plato, while I’m an ISTP, like Diogenes, and their and our interactions line up quite accurately.

This is very true!
I am pretty sure I am a ENTP, and my brother is a ISTP, we do get into a lot of clashes, he always has a conclusion about something, while I'm back and forth with everything. We always say my brother has black magic, anything he touches, he masters it, and he will stay focused on it, and work on it. While on the other hand, I would just enjoy the experience of trying something out, and half of the time I get bored of some of the things I work on.

My dad is an ISTP and I love how he loves sarcasm, in fact I was practically raised on it, but it can be difficult when we argue

Funny, I've seen irritation like this between my two best friends. :p One is an istp and the other an enfp. Not too long ago the enfp tried to explain some weird cosmological/metaphysical (not sure yet) theory he had come up with. We went allong with it, at least to understand what he was intending, to come at the conclusion after more than an hour that the enfp was entertaining the thought because 'it would be funny if the world worked like that, but I don't believe it'. This greatly enraged my istp friend. :p

One of the most important people ive ever met was an istp. They helped me through a very rough patch in my life and was the only one there for me or even understood me at the time and I can say they know me for me far better than anyone i know including my parents. I can be all aspects of my personality around this individual and it will always be embraced

I recently met an ISTP, honestly, the most enjoyable company so far 😃. I can say anything, without censoring or wrapping it up nicely, endless interesting conversations and yes, things get done. Also, so much fun because we can laugh at things when feeler types wouldn't, because it doesn't sound nice at all, but we don't mean it. Also, we can tease each other all day long and check a few times a day that we're sill joking. Perfection. (ENTP)
