To you those of you out there who are disappointed and losing hope.. Don't ! We live in the best time. And science is so close to developing something for hearing loss/tinnitus..! Stay in the fight and most of all stay positive ❤

I really have a great expectation about the fx-322, what disturbs me the most is not deafness but tinnitus

I'd rather have a single dose that shoes a noticeable improvement than none at all. So to me this gives me hope they it's not entirely in shambles.

I am unaware of fx-322 so hearing that this type of work is happening gets me excited. Thanks for the update Dr Cliff!

Thanks for keeping us updated, Dr. Cliff. I too was really disappointed by this news as I’d been following FX-322 for a few years now.

But the overall state of science advancing towards addressing hearing loss through medical interventions still seems hopeful.

The development of fx-322 is positive for those of us with hearing loss. It is great to know that people are working on biological rather than just electromechanical solutions. Even a little improvement to age related hearing loss would be appreciated. Maybe it will prevent further decline in hearing.

I’m still quietly optimistic in the long run, but disappointed in the short term.

I'm going to remain optimistic and hopeful. 10% better could make a world of a difference to some people. I have 30% word recognition, so 10% may not seem like a lot, but it would get me closer to 50% haha

Hi, I'm a 38 year old male and I'm a sound engineer and meticulous. For about 3 years I have noticed an increasing loss of very high frequencies. I have always been sensitive to high frequencies because I find that they bring pleasure when listening to complex sounds rich in harmonics, moreover the audibility of these very high frequencies allows me to appreciate quality audio material and hear when something is wrong. Until 3 years ago I heard without effort up to 16khz or even 17Khz but now the threshold down to 14Khz with tinnitus and also around 5 Khz of - 30 db from the threshold on one ear. I admit that I can't get used to it because every day I hear that something is missing in the audio spectrum, even thinking that there is a problem in my speakers, but no, these don't have moved and only my hearing was lost. As it seems that the loss of high frequencies begins very early with the loss of hair cells, I was wondering if the regeneration of these cells could allow me to regain my hearing performance. I recognize that this loss is very slight and does not prevent me from understanding a conversation but nevertheless in the field of sound and music, part of the pleasure is missing. If a regeneration is possible but it is not granted to me because my loss is still too slight, I understand but why should I wait to be even more deaf when it may be enough to treat the deafness sooner than expected ..

Disappointing news but, remain hopeful that a drug therapy for hearing loss will be developed. Thanks Dr. Cliff

You know FX-322 might be the closest cure to hearing loss. Maybe it needs to combine with something else and it'll become stronger. If scientist work hard on the subject I bet there will be a solution very soon.
I have hope.

I was working as a stock analyst in the biotech-sector for 20 years and I was specialized in oncology. I experienced similiar setbacks in this sector too, but my experience says that one should not give up too soon. In many cases these companies could modify and improve their treatments and then could achieve much better results. I often made the mistake to give up too soon. I cannot look into the future, but to give too soon is in many cases not a good advice. As an investor you cautiously should follow-up the further steps the company is making. I still hope that there will be a solution for millions of patients with hearing loss.

If FX-322 only regenerate IHC's, pipe 505 would surely be needed for OHC's and synapses. And don't forget that in most case, sensorineural HL is also linked with cochlear synaptopathy. So FX-322 cannot treat HL alone, a synaptogenesis drug will surely be needed.

I don't view this as a failure. I view it as the trials showing something that is not as effective as we would like it to be. Research will continue.

I still feel hopeful that TF will eventually provide the solution for hearing loss. Just have to keep positive. Good informative video too 👍
