I cried for the character Sam Maurice played. As the child of an Army officer I can relate to that feeling, days where we waited for his return, the joy we felt when his car pulled up the drive way, the tears we shed when saying our goodbyes...and the circle continued until...one day his car pulls up but this time accompanied by a military truck, uniformed men offloading his belongings, their facial expressions blank, but we could see through their souls...they lost a comrade and we lost a father and husband. Then came the gun shots in the air; the salutes, the handing over of his sword...and then all was silent, and it's been silent for years now yet I miss him so dearly.

Finally sat to watch this film. The way I screamed when Deyemi walked through the door 🤯🤯🤯🤯. I never hessperedit. This film me. What a great story line & twist 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Kudos to the writers for this.

The mums character was exceptional in the love, compassion & understanding. Wouldn't it be amazing if more mothers were this wise & understanding?!

It's disappointing that men won't date women who are widowed, divorced etc, but women are expected to marry men who are divorced or widowed. Is that fair? Nigerian societal mentality has a lot to change in its hipocracy towards women. Life happens. Looking down on another because of their circumstances is an injustice to the compassion, love & understanding we need to have towards each other.

All in all, a great movie & so many lessons to be learnt from this movie.

I must say this movie is deep, I remember reading a story on Wattpad like this.

Moving on from a loved one is hard, but seeing the person you’re moving on from because they were presumed dead alive, hurts. It’s like you’re being tugged from both end with no definite choice.

Back to the movie I love the mother in law, the throwbacks to why Elena couldn’t move on, the falling in love with Godswill and finally Deyemi’s sacrifice. It made me feel like a true life story was happening with me at one corner hiding and watching 😂, the kind of thrilling feeling I get from my Wattpad stories.

Good job to everyone that contributed to the success of this production, it was top notch.
