Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer has joined Prince’s NPG band as a permanent member for his record-shattering Musicology tour & album.

Candy has sold over 2.5 million albums worldwide and received a Grammy award nomination for her debut album Saxuality. Candy has worked with some of the biggest names in music including: Van Morrison, Maceo Parker, Sheila E., Aretha Franklin, and many others.

Candy Dulfer was just twenty years old when she scored her first international hit, "Lily Was Here, a duet with Eurhythmics guitarist Dave Stewart.

Candy Dulfer plays a Amsterdam Winds alto saxophone with Heidinga neck. She plays a custom mouthpiece by her own design, similar to Lebayle and Dukoff, it is not for sale yet. She uses Vandoren Jazz reeds 2.5.

Candy Dulfer starting out on drums, she switched first to soprano saxophone and eventually settled on alto saxophone. Influenced by the rough, swaggering tenor style impacted how she approached playing the alto and helped her stand out early on.

Ulco Bed (guitarist) used a JC-120 for a long time, with a host of drive pedals (even a Metal Zone into the JC..!).. That being said, Ulco is one of the most underrated players in Holland and the world.

"Lily Was Here" is a single released in November 1989 from the David A. Stewart soundtrack. Its a masterpiece that this band has successfully rearranged for the better over the past years.
