As a begginer level UI/UX designer, the things you described are really really helpful. I did the same mistake of directly moving towards UX rather then focusing on UI but when I came into game, I realized UI and UX are both parellerly important.
Thanks for uploading such a valuable content Aliena!

Hi @Aliena Cai

I just wanted to take a moment to say that I’m a huge fan of yours! I started my UX/UI design journey about a year ago, and your content and videos have been a huge part of my progress. I began by learning UI design, and I’m proud to say I’ve now completed that stage and am transitioning into UX. I’m even working toward a Google certification now!

You won’t believe this, but I’ve completed three projects during this time, all by following your tutorials and guidance. You are truly a role model for me. While I’ve been a silent supporter and haven't commented much on your videos, I wanted to reach out and express my gratitude now.

Thank you so much for your incredible content and support they’ve made a difference in my learning journey!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I love the straight up talk. This isn't the regular talk. This is the goal getter talk. The title is whatever your company wants it to be, this got me 🤣😅😅😅

Hi, I noticed a simple trick you can use to make your videos better, it many editing software’s there’s something called “enhance audio”, it clears up the air around you, makes your voice much smoother

The honesty and simplicity of your presentation is top 🔥
I wanted to watch just a few minutes, but I ended up watching everything and I guess it was because your story was extremely authentic. Love it!

I’m a graphic design graduate since 2023 and have had a difficult time finding work, so I’m going into the UX/UI field and doing the google certification program this year!

Thank you so much for sharing these tips and words of encouragement! As someone in their late 30s wanting to change careers to UX/UI design, this was a great reminder for helping me stay on track. I also appreciated your humour while still being honest about the reality of the process.

This video is very helpful. And surprisingly, accountability is something very few people tell you about when giving information about design learning and such. This is personally the biggest issue I face. In my self learning journey, my biggest set back has been lack of accountability and it can very quickly pile up and become a roadblock that confuses the heck out of you! So glad you included this crucial point in your video.

Got a lot of valuable insight from this and your other videos. Being at a transitioning point in work/life right now, UX design may not be the best fit for me, i was looking into UI design career options and courses when i found these. But still actually gaining important knowledge i need to keep in mind about networking and life in general. Thanks for making these!

First timer here, and I must say how amazing you are, Aliana. Even though I had just UI design alone in mind, I decided to stay back and watch till the end and I learnt a lot. Thank you so much!

I don't know if there''s anyone reading this who would like to pair up and let's become accountability partners. I just started and I hope to grow with a like minded person too. 🙌

Dear Aliena, I'm a doctor in theological studies and former teacher at various universites who is currently working as product manager/author/ai-consultant for a publisher in Switzerland. Over the past couple of months, I noticed that everything related to marketing, design, content creation and website building makes my heart leap with joy. Even though I am already 33 years old, I would love to dive deeper into the world of UI/UX and pursue a creative career. Thank you very much for your informative and motivating videos! They are very helpful and engaging. All the best, Melanie

Just like taking drawing classes or going to college for graphic design, no matter how many concepts and ideas your learn about design, you still need to be a person that has a good sense for design, color, and layout. Having that natural imagination and natural eye for design is what separates good from great. For years, designers have been following a discover, define, develop, deliver strategy for years as a natural process flow. UX/UI ideas are really nothing new for old-school designers, it's just that now they are being written down out loud. As a UX/Ui designer, you also need to be a good coder, because this helps you understand and work fluidly with the front-end development team.
