BSG Will Ban You For Killing Streamers - Escape From Tarkov

Recently an innocent player was banned from Escape From Tarkov, because a streamer said so. This should not be possible.

I’m the dude who got banned and honestly Onepeg has been really great and supportive throughout all this.

It’s nice to know there are streamers that care about the health of the game and don’t just sit idly by when shit like this happens. Seriously, thanks for standing up dude.

On a side note, at first I thought Rengawrs “apology” showed some accountability and I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Next thing you know he’s live on twitch perpetuating hate towards me in his chat and claiming he’s just going to be richer because of all of this. It’s really unfortunate, but he clearly doesn’t care about making this right.

I played Tarkov from the very first Alpha. When the only map was factory, and buying EOD was the only method to have access to the game.
I spent tons of hours making clips of places in Factory that you could fall through the map, or places if you stood you could get the AI to bug out and they would just shoot at you but never be able to hit you, and I would report these clips to BSG on their forum.
I answered DMs from Devs about a few of these bugs and how they could reproduce them.

About two years later, I was abruptly banned. No reason given. No appeal allowed. Account simply no longer exists. I tried as hard as I can to try and find out why I was banned and to this day I have no idea at all -- my best guess is that somehow finding and reporting bugs was considered a violation of game rules, even though I did not exploit these glitches, I simply recorded them happening so that they could be fixed.

Lets be honest, BSG does not care about the players or the game. They care about their ego, and they care about their income.
That's why hackers are allowed to just buy a new account and why players are never allowed to appeal a ban or even learn why they are banned.

Renegwar has always been real sus when it comes to being an individual. He has the mental maturity of a 15 year old and definitely should have worked on his social skills a while longer before becoming a streamer.

I noticed a new case that has become widespread. When a streamer makes a quick aiming and killing move, they call it a shooting skill, and when an ordinary player makes the same move, they start throwing accusations and discussing whether he was legit or not! The Tarkov community has become no different from the COD and Battlefield community.
Tarkov community goes from bad to worse...Therefore, at the present time, we must record all our matches in order to avoid such incidents.
I miss the days of 2017 and 2018.

Getting banned by a dev is something I have experienced in a different game before. I was doing pretty well in a Team Deathmatch game of Combat Arms back in the early 2010's, faced a GM in that match and received a hardware ban right after the match. Luckily I had been recording every single match and could appeal it, but that is not something that can be expected of a normal player. Hope things like this can be better sorted out in the future.

I honestly do hate that streamers get the special treatment. Yes I get it that they bring in tons of people into the game but the fact that someone can have that much power that you can say he WILL get banned in any stretch of time just sounds like power tripping at its finest. Game companies need to actually treat those manual reviews as just that, reviews. Streamers get tilted at the game just as much as a casual players and to have that kind of power when you get tilted at a game that is still very buggy, very much not a stable product due to dysync and lag.

Well done Onepeg, I know these videos can be seen as not a great strategy for YouTube but it's very honourable standing up for this guy and the community of players. Some streamers really let all the power and popularity got to their heads...

This is super disheartening and really makes me scared to play because I enjoyed it so much I got the edge of darkness edition and it could just be taken away from me if I accidentally kill a streamer, that really sucks, I don't want 100 dollars I spent in support of the devs to just disappear.

TY for shining a light on this. It might stop the next streamer from abusing their power just because they are mad that they got killed. Dying to legshots over a minute or so of getting tagged doesn't happen when the you run into a cheater.
