The Weimar Constitution - 8/11/1919

On August 11th, 1919, the Weimar constitution was declared, establishing Germany as a democratic parliamentary republic after World War I. Drafted in Weimar, this constitution governed the Weimar Republic from 1919 to 1933, marked by proportional representation and universal suffrage. Despite being technically in place during the Nazi era, its impact waned with the Enabling Act of 1933, yet it still influenced constitutions in other countries, like South Korea.
