Oh man the headache I had was horrible 😔 I’m in top condition and always wondered why it happened. Now I know. Thank you so much for this information 🤜🏼🤛🏼

I have gotten AMS twice and in both cases I had overexerted myself significantly while at altitude. I will never forget it...chills, confusion, no appetite, and a general feeling of just wanting lay down and not move. I am in much better shape now and want to try San Gorgonio (11.5k) and White Mountain Peak (14.2k). I am going to take it very easy and slow once I get above 9k

Very informative video. Just wanted to clarify one thing though. Is it a bad idea to sleep at higher altitudes primarily? It wasn't entirely clear in the lecture.

Everest Air is a great show to watch to see this.

Are blood types a risk factor in getting altitude sickness?

Excellent video! I wouldn't have loved it as much if I wasn't doing higher altitudes from sea-level. Highly recommend when taking a trip like this.

Wim Hof breathing techniques seem to work.

I didn't have a problem in Mexico City. I don't consume alcohol or caffeine. I will not have coca tea. I am taking the bus to Cusco and a plane back to Lima. I am about average weight to skinny. Am I likely to have a problem in Cusco, Peru, at about 11, 300 feet, for about 3 days? Will I wear my heart out? Should I cancel my trip?

Airplanes are pressurized to 3, 000 feet. I measured it with an altimeter. 2, 000 feet makes a huge difference! Living above 2, 500 feet is not healthy for anyone. Living at sea level is best for humans. Sea Level.

When I’m walking at a slow pace at 9, 000’ my pulse is 170bpm

The best way to prevent and treat high altitude illness is to stay at sea level 😉
