Based on our observations among Grade 9 high school students, we identified a pressing challenge that requires immediate attention. The selected problem is the learners’ lack of interest during discussions. This scenario will serve as the springboard for our Classroom-Based Action Research (CBAR), focusing on enhancing student engagement in discussions. The lack of interest in learning is a significant barrier to effective education. When students are not engaged, they struggle to stay focused and participate in tasks, which hinders the achievement of learning goals. Through this activity, we understand that teachers have the responsibility of educating and shaping young minds, influencing their knowledge, skills, and attitudes. As a future educators, we take on a multiple number of roles - support, motivate, and inspire.
