Michael Caine's quote that that he never saw Jaws 4 but he saw the house that paid for it is my favorite thing to come out of this movie.

I did like the scene in Jaws IV where Mike Brody and his daughter mirror each other’s movements, and they cut in scenes of Roy Scheider and the young Sean doing the same thing, while Ellen watches and remembers.

That was a surprisingly touching and well done scene.

Everyone comments on the shark roaring at the end, but hardly anyone seems to notice the fact that it also levitates repeatedly, holding half its body out of the water.

Ebert's review of this was hilarious. He talks about yelling out in the theater, "He's still dry!" after one scene where Caine gets out of the water but is dry is immediately after one cut.

In the novelization of Jaws 2 by Hank Searles it's stated the shark of Jaws 2 is the mate of the 1st shark and pregnant with babies. In the book right before Jaws 2 dies by electrocution she gives birth. And in the novelization of Jaws 4 also written by Searles it's heavily implied the shark is one of the babies Jaws 2 gave birth to. Hence the " revenge " plot.

Fun fact, the roar sound actually first appeared in Creature of the Black Lagoon and next to the Wilhem Scream was one of the most used and recognizable canned soundeffects in cinema, cartoon and TV history

It was very frequently used by Filmation in their cartoons like He-Man, She-Ra etc.

I have to admit, it had a couple good scenes. I always enjoy Mario's acting. Even in bad movies he is charming, energetic and a joy. He was actually the reason I watched, the one time.
