Probably you did not select, Dynamic, Standard or Movie setting for the picture. By selecting one of them perhaps LG can match Samsung, maybe not?

I have had both, and I like the lg way better, I had a 85 inch Samsung TU7000, and the picture always pixelated in intense scenes. The lg picture stays smooth and consistent.
