Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker 8-bit - With Hearts Aligned (VRC6)

Yes! Answering to popular demand, I couldn't help but make this one a reality. It was a really fun process, and I'm glad I could tap into some Streets of Rage, and listen to Soken's composition really closely to get some cool details into this. So I'd like to thank you guys for the opportunity and for sticking around through these low quality videos, and I hope to keep making 8-bit songs that will resonate with you all.

I tried to contact an artist on Twitter regarding a pixel art version of Endsinger, but I got no response. Well, too bad, you guys get Romancing SaGa sprites now (I wouldn't complain, they're gorgeous!)

Also, I'm back to playing the game! So y'all will probably get some cool tunes from older expansions like Heavensward and Stormblood more often!

And yes, I've seen some doubts regarding 8-bit music with 16-bit sprites. The reason is juuuust because it's fun! As a fan of classic Mega Man games (8-bit), and the fact that I play 16-bit games to this day, I can't help but try to mix and match them on video. I hope it doesn't really bother anyone, because I'm a horrible graphic artist lol

Sounds like the credit roll. In practice, the credit roll often sounded "fuller" than other music in 8bit games because they can use all sound channels for the track, because there are no other sounds they need to play during credit rolls. This rendition of this song gives me quite some nostalgia!

I still have the most epic tale of this boss. As you know, there is that intermission before the part when this song hits. Well when the screen faded to black...my power went out. So I had to go through this phase on my backup battery. This boss hit me so hard she killed my power RL so we rallied and finished her off while running on a 20 minute back up battery!

whenever I hear stuff like this, I see in my head the whole game being made in a bit of a "de-dux" version, where it is basically the whole story but in a singleplayer Final Fantasy I pixel art format.

man.. imagine playing the FF franchise or any other games back in the 80s-90s when 8-bit sounds were all you could produce without going over the size limit of where you can store your games.... and you got this music style. What a banger.
