Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has many interesting characters to main analyze. Today I'm going to go over Why YOU Should Main Ridley in Smash 5 Switch or Smash Ultimate in a intro guide for beginners! SMASH 5 for Switch Hype!

(and as well give a VERY basic guide on his playstyle, what to focus on, and how to play him) all for #SuperSmashBrosUltimate

Ill be talking about Ridley's changes in smash ultimate (buffs and nerfs), how Ridley Gameplay has changed in Smash Switch and what you should focus on to get better at Ridley with a little tutorial mini guide at the end.

Later on I want to make more in depth character analysis videos and advanced character guides but we will just have to wait for the full release of smash ultimate wont we!

I think the best way to sum up ridley is this: hes an anti-heavy

hes faster
hes got better aerial movement/attacks
he has great edge guarding
his recovery is great

he is literally an anti heavy

ganondorf, side B, edge guard
donkey kong, faster, air dominance
bowser, same as donkey kong, better projectile
incineroar, same as ganon

you can make an easy case for how ridley can overpower fellow heavyweights, and I love it
my favorite type of characters to fight are heavies, so ridley was an instant yes for me

*I have an OP Ridley spirit set that I use:*

Oh! And it relies on his dash grab.

Main body:
Lv.99 Neutral or Power triple slots

Slots: (Order doesn't matter)
1. Dash Nico (Mii)
2. Link and Conductor (L.O.Z)
3. (I forgot the name) Side special power ⬆️

It's a heck of a lot good.
Oh and I'll fix the third slot when I get on my switch, so I can see the spirit.
Also, in case you were wondering about the damage, here's a comparison:
(It's not exactly btw, just a main range, also it depends on the drag)

No Spirits:
10-25%

With Spirits:
30-45%
