Since we were usually a family of six at home my dad would bring home a bucket for meals with the sides. We at least had one or two of those special Christmas buckets where he's wearing a Santa hat on them!

Looks like they took over the lot to the north, as this place had very limited parking when I used to live in Corbin. Very nice to see that it has been updated in the past 10 years since I moved away.

We visited this location just last week. The museum was interesting and fun. We ate there and the KFC chicken was better than what we get back home in Pennsylvania. 👍🏻

I've been there multiple times since it's not too far off the interstate to where we usually go for vacation & KFC's also one of my favorite fast food places. Last time I remember we actually sat at the booth shown at the 4:00 mark.

The Colonel wore suits that were white because when he was on the road selling his recipe, he wanted to look clean with flour all over his clothes.

I wonder if the ABA Colonels got free chicken. Love the light up sign, I remember that one at the location I went to in the early 80s.

Maybe its because i live there, but it's just another KFC. If you are from out of town, and you decide somehow that corbin is worth exiti g your vehicle for, then i recommend any of the places in downtown

I'm a baby boomer. And it's amazing how many youngsters have no idea that The Colonel, Harland Sanders, was a real person.

As they say, 'it's just a location'. The town had nothing to do with it chicken, as none were raised there (in quantity) and the only connection is Sanders chicken joint. So, when you show up it's just another highway curiosity. Not the sacred home of the American field chicken.
