Great tips!

We focus on many of the same things and I have also found by letting them have their own gear helps it become more of an adventure for them rather than just another walk.

Also, the first tip hike fast ag the start, parents listen to this. Kids will be at their highest energy, highest level of excitement at the start. Let me run and when they are naturally slowing down, you can switch to that mode.

Great trips! I totally agree with the "hike fast" recommendation. Usually parents think about slowing down and taking it slow and we try to do the opposite and make use of their energy while they have it (and then sometimes strap them to our backs once they run out of it). Great video!

Great advice and as usual great video! My son and I started recording our hikes just under a year ago. We really enjoyed your videos. We subscribed! Keep up the good work dad! Check out his channel! One more thing I would add if doing a difficult hike make sure you pick a hike with a payoff at the end such as a waterfall, and Overlook, or a river to play in.
