Episode 5 of The Bad Batch season 2 was very strange and had influences from Fallen Order, Indiana Jones & more

30% of the way through the season and only 1 episode where anything consequential happens for a character.

I was disappointed with this episode. Critics said that episode 5 was the big one, this is the episode where the show really takes a turn in the "right direction" but it was just another somewhat pointless adventure.

Wanda Sykes needs to go back to yelling at Larry David.

I love how they spent like 15 mins accessing the mountain. That could have been 5 mins tops, would have rather seen some backstory on the mech.

Omega found the compass ( not knowing what it was) in a random drawer, from a random ship, in a junkyard.

I would guess that it wasn't the only one of them made. So, the planet was presumably razed by others of its type, which either eventually ran out of steam or they just did so much damage that they sank themselves into the magma ... they're still lumbering around down there ... just walking on the core and vaporizing magma ...

I think it was for presenting the new woman character (I don't even cared what was her name), but....was she really necessary for the episode? I wanted the Bad Batch ALONE to have their intelligence to be tested in the temple, having her made the things so easy.

and seriously, they talked so much about pirates that I thought she know about Hondo Ohnaka and he would make a cameo.

The giant robot looked like a giant pokemon!😊👍🏻

Idk man this episode just didn’t really do much. They went to that planet and activated that thing and they stopped it and that’s it

Two episodes in a row and the Empire isn't even mentioned at all.

It kind of reminded me of the Zilo Beast.

I thought it was a pretty mid episode until they decided to go into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE in the last 10 min with the giant mech. Weird.

There were stories of this "heart of the mountain" so someone had seen this thing and maybe them taking it was what destroyed the planet before they were able to return the stone. What I think actually melted the rock was that they had put the stone in just as the machine was using another blast so all that destructive power went into the stone and melted it causing a overload. It looked Zeffo and it's likely this tech wasn't explained here but may show up in Jedi Survivor like I can see Cal finding compasses to treasures left behind as a gameplay mechanic.

I hate the actor who plays the new character Phee, she has said some very controversial crap.

It’s so cool they added the Tallneck from Horizon Zero Dawn into Star Wars (I only know of that game from Lego)

It was a Filler episode, just like the one before it with the Pod racing. Very disappointing

I got sort of the same impression. But it was still interesting to watch.

It was another filler. I feel like the abruptness and the unanswered questions made it less interesting. So far season two has been a hit or miss for me. And we still don’t know if we can trust Phee or not

Not every episode can be plot centric, and this is a perfect example. I enjoyed the episode for what it was. Also I watched using my JBL headphones and the music was incredible.

This episode was really meh, it’s the definition of filler their was no real character development or anything I really liked the mech and obviously animation is still great but that was it not much to say about this one, also I don’t like Phee maybe it’s the actress or maybe it’s just the fact her character gets on my nerves for some reason
