I was impressed when I saw that the video was entirely recorded on a 15 Pro Max. It reminded me of the Lady Gaga video clip "911" and "Stupid Love" which was entirely recorded on an 11 Pro.

While this won’t nominate the iPhone for an Oscar…at this point, it will make serious filmmakers think of it a bit longer and harder as a B roll and possibly primary camera for paid projects. It also puts more pressure on Apple to push the envelope more on the iPhone 16 line.

i'm very curious to see the 128gb unified memory on unreal engine now that hardware ray tracing and mesh shaders are supported

Sans the real depth of field control and some low light possibilities, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is definitely a usable camera in some professional situations. When doing solo documentary work for example you can pull it out of your pocket as a B Camera for reaction shots and other B Roll while focusing on the subject. In scenarios where discretion is critical, it can serve as a main camera.

I suspect that it was shot on the Blackmagic Camera App and edited in Davinci Resolve though. It's sad that Final Cut Pro serves almost no purpose in the Apple product or marketing lineup anymore.

That this was filmed with iPhone is the most fake advertising you can do. Why?

Because no one in their right mind would use 4x lights with 25k a piece on a shoot and then use a shitty iPhone to film with.

With a pro camera it would blow iPhone out of the water. Let’s be real here
