Universal Studios' $73/Night Hotel: Endless Summer Resort Tour

While in Orlando to see the grand opening of Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Universal gave us a preview of Universal's Endless Summer Resort -- Surfside Inn and Suites, which opens on June 27th 2019.

This is Universal Orlando's first "value" hotel property and a game-changer option for the big two theme parks. Rates start as low as $73 per night for a 7-night stay for a standard room with two queen sized beds. 2-bedroom suites are also available starting at $113 per night. The suite includes two separate rooms containing a total of three queen-sized beds, a kitchenette area, a picnic table, and a bathroom.

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much when going on the tour of this new hotel but was surprised at the quality of this so-called value option. This resort doesn't feel or look cheap, and the price is a game changer for families who need a more affordable vacation option. To give you an idea, a room at Walt Disney World's value hotel option Disney's All-Star Movies Resort starts at $112 per night, almost $40 more.

I hope to book this resort for our Disney trip in October for at least one night. I love that they have inside hallways if that makes sense. The pool is huge! Nice "value" resort! I like it better than the other Universal hotels.

My husband and I went for Anniversary on Oct 7 to surfside and got a suite and we love it. Definitely will do again but will try there sister resort Dockside next year

Great video! Thanks for showing us this new hotel! I noticed that the man quoted $73 a night with a 7 night stay off season. So looks like there's 2 criteria to get that rate. What a great hotel though! I will stay there some day, but I'll keep checking to see when it's less than $100 a night :)

Blows Disney outta the water.. I can imagine spending 500 a night at a deluxe in WDW.. Much rather go Universal.. Cabana Bay is my go to.. but this is an amazing value for such a nicely themed resort

The tour guide at the bar said the Endless Summer rum was made by a company out of Miami. But at 4:00 you can clearly see on the label of the bottle “Crafted in Barbados”.

Wow! I’ve always thought of Cabana Bay (in comparison to Disney standards) as a moderate resort at a value price. I’ve stayed at Cabana Bay for cheaper than a night at Disney’s All Star resorts and I feel like it’s an upgrade from Pop Century. Super exciting there will be another nice hotel at Universal for even less!

So after watching your video I looked into staying....looked at July, September, October and even February 2020- no rooms less than like $145 a night even for a 7 night stay on the most standard room. I have no idea where universal is getting those prices.

It's kind of like the Ikea of resort hotels. Simple, clean, nice design, doesn't break the bank.
