$300M Dodger Stadium Makeover – In-Depth Look Inside

Dodger Stadium sits high in the hills of Chavez Ravine, overlooking downtown Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Mountains, and rows of iconic palm trees. It’s the third-oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball, yet it remains one of the most modern and breathtaking stadiums in the world. Known for its mid-century design and sweeping views, it combines classic charm with cutting-edge upgrades.

Over the years, the stadium has undergone several renovations to improve both fan and player experiences. The Centerfield Plaza added in 2021 turned unused space into a lively area with restaurants, interactive exhibits, and family-friendly play zones. Now, another major transformation is underway. The Dodgers are revamping their clubhouses, creating advanced player spaces with updated lockers, showers, and communal areas. Crews are also working on the field, possibly updating its surface to meet the highest standards. Fans can expect enhancements to key areas of the ballpark, keeping it one of baseball’s most exciting venues.

What does it take to modernize a stadium while keeping its iconic look? How do these changes impact the game-day experience for fans and players alike? lets find out

Made my first visit in 2023. It was an amazing experience. I have been to 12 ballparks and Dodger Stadium ranks in the top 2.

TERRIFIC video! As native Angeleno and lifelong Dodger fan, one of my earliest memories is being at Dodger Stadium with my mom and dad, back in 1964, when I was five years old and wearing my first LA ballcap. Fast forward 60 years -- 60 years? DAMN! -- and I'm watching our Blue Crew manhandle the Padres, Mets and Yankees enroute to their eighth World Series championship. So many wonderful memories at Dodger Stadium; to me, it's THE most beautiful park in all of Major League Baseball.

Dodgers fans are so spoiled. Gorgeous stadium, top 5 uniform, incredible team (with current and historical success and Hall of Famers)... Plus, living in LA ain't half bad either. I hate them lol. Respectfully, a hatin' ass Braves fan in Atlanta.

Can’t believe some people think Angel stadium is better than Blue Heaven on Earth

One thing that separates Dodgers Stadium from every other stadium in the mlb, it doesnt have boring old green ugly seats. It has its own unique look with different colored seats.

That’s because they built a stadium with baseball in mind, the sight lines and fan viewership, add great management, perfect weather for outdoor games, delicious foods, great view outside of the mountains…and it’s cheaper fixing up your own palace…

Haven't been to LA in many years. Dodger stadium is great, loved going to games when I had the chance.

It's not just about the look but all the history contained inside, as nice as the Pads and Pirates stadiums are, there is no historical significance to either place. I hope the Dodgers continue to call it home and just update it ever so often

I have been to Dodger Stadium at least 100 times over the years. I remember $7 bleacher seats and getting in and out of the parking lot in no time. Now it's priced out many fans and the parking lot is a disaster to get into and out of. I love my team but I am afraid going to a game these days just are not in my budget anymore. Good for them though as they still draw 4 million fans a year, most of any team in baseball so they are not missing me that's for sure.

I think it isn’t the Chavez Ravine area as you talk about it. There was a ravine in the hill that they dug the stadium into - and that’s Chavez Ravine. There’s photos of the hill and the ravine before anything at all was built on it.
