Really happy for you and I bet wifey will be pleased to get her car back lol
I had an 84 323 hatch way back when and loved it, but this is in another league.

Mate I was also told years ago that the boxes were like glass, so yeah so money shifts! When you revved it I also outloud said peppy as you did. Sounds very responsive.

Awesome. Great find that little beast. Not sure what ignition setup is on some Mazda's, but I knew some guys next door to me in Melb that had the later 2 door familia AWD cars with (link ECU's from memory).. those cars started up the absolute instant the key was moved. Barely any cranking needed, just like your car here.

Just spotted this video series from the link on the Ford Laser group. So nice someone went to the trouble of fitting a twin cam engine I was expecting to see the original single cam version when you lifted the bonnet! I have just purchased the same engine to swap into my kb laser 3 door sport. I will be ditching the efi and running multiple bike carbs for simplicity, period correctness and last of all sound!

Does it have a f series box or a b6t box other wise know as a g series there both pretty weak boxes but stock motor no turbo you will be fine
