finding the starbucks rainbow drink

Ex Starbucks worker here- and my coworker actually made this drink once, but it uses a lot of ingredients and if management didn't know it was for a customer, we'd probably get in trouble for making it lol. But to any baristas who want to try making this, it's the frozen (blended) mango dragonfruit refresher, frozen pineapple mango refresher, frozen strawberry açaí refresher, and the frozen blue raspberry summer berry refresher. You have to blend them all separately and then layer it in a venti cup. its super pretty but a lot of work :)

As a barista a really appreciate you not forcing your baristas to make that drink. It would have looked the same as when you made it and they would have been so anxious thinking they were gonna get yelled at even though you would have been nice. It’s always the same with layered drinks. Yes it happens. All the time

One of the ways to layer a drink is to use a little warmed coconut cream in the liquid as a base. Then pour the mixture in the cup over a warm spoon to disperse. Let it settle during each pour. That also works with regular cream.

The thing about rainbow drinks or any type of layered drink: to avoid the layers mixing you use drinks with different sugar concentrations, from most concentrated to least. And each layer is poured on the surface of the other using a spoon. This is from a vague memory of bartender course I attended.

the worst part about working at starbucks was people asking for “secret menu drinks” because some would become angry or annoyed when we explain starbucks doesn’t have a secret menu and we can’t make it if you don’t have the recipe OR if the drink came out looking different they would get upset.

I one time had someone ask for the little mermaid under the sea drink. LMAO that was a joke made by a barista on tiktok and it was made with the starbucks floor cleaner. 😂

The og rainbow drink was made by blending the dissolvable date stickers they put in the food items. It’s leftover frappe and stickers. Y’all don’t want to try it lol.

The drink is clearly blended, each color separately. Why would you think pouring liquids together would be the same ?

I had this in science like the last week. You could do it but there needs to be sugar in those drinks
preperations:
Syringe
cup (depends on you like how much colors will you get)
another cup (lets call it the extra cup)
sugar
spoon

In class I used like 4 food coloring with water
Red, blue, green, and orange, so I needed 4 different cups. So we put sugar and each color will have a different number of spoons of sugar.
And it needs to be like more spoons of sugar to least spoons of sugar
Like (any number of spoons of sugar)( it will still be in their own cups
Red=8 blue=5 green=3 orange=1
(remember which one has more sugar)
( mix it in their own cups)
(make sure that when you mix it you cant see the sugar anymore) and then mix it all
then get the syringe and extra cup
then transfer the, the one that has the most spoons of sugar, then transfer the 2nd to the most spoons of sugar, then transfer the 3rd to the most spoons of sugar and the last but not the least transfer the least of spoons of sugar to the extra cup (transfer it slowly)

greatest to least spoons of sugar

orange
green
blue
red

here try this:
1 put shaved ice in each drink
2 slowly put the red one in, then the next one, etc. not too slow that it melts tho
3 enjoy or decorate
