RMP of neurons is -70mv
That is 1 coulumb charge of particles inside the cell have 70milli joules less energy than 1 coulumb charge of particles outside..

For normal and muscle cells it is -90mv

For pacemakers it is always fluctuationg and very less difference of -40 to -60mv

sir one question here :
as potassium enters the cell so it should increase the positive charge .
i know sodium is expelled out..but 2 positive potassium ions are still inside the cell .
so should these K ions neutralize the negative charge of cell ?
