Wisdom tooth in 80 – 90 % of the cases struggle to erupt. Why does it happen? It is because it doesn’t have enough space to come out of the jaw, it is called impaction. In very rare instances the wisdom tooth do come out in line with the adjacent and the opposing tooth. In such cases extraction of the wisdom tooth is not required. But majority of the instances. At some point of your life you will be experiencing pain due to an impacted wisdom tooth. The wisdom tooth will constantly give you pain and soreness in and around the wisdom tooth area. It is ideal to remove your wisdom tooth if you are experiencing constant pain and soreness in and around the wisdom tooth area. There is redness of the gums surrounding the wisdom tooth area. The wisdom tooth is hitting the tooth in front which may eventually get decayed. You have a swelling around the wisdom tooth area. You are also prone to develop something called cyst if the wisdom tooth is giving chronic irritation in that area. Wisdom tooth removal is basically not a major surgical procedure. It is a minor procedure done under local anesthesia and it is relatively pain free. So it is ideal to remove your wisdom tooth if you are constantly experiencing pain.
