I have almost the same solution, I used a_1=G.m_2/d^2=r_1.w^2 to find w, and ultimately T=109 years. Slight variation on the same theme.

By the way, what is the best way to submit a solution with a proper layout, until YouTube supports Latex?

Lastly, thank you very much for the time you spend making these exercises and solutions. I used to love physics during my studies and I have not done much of it since I graduated. It is a real delight to be able to use that part of my brains again.

Hi Walter. I have a question. If gravity bends light, why is it that the entire earth doesn't light up 24 hours a day from the light emitted by the sun.

I've been trying to make sense of it after watching Einstein's experience which proved that light does bend when exposed to gravity.

Sir, I know total Energy in a body due to Gravity is -GMm/2R. If an object falls from a point P (at R) to a point at p (at R') and if R'<R the energy at p is more negative then at P. So energy decreases from P to p by an amount ∆E (say). I want to know in which form ∆E get converted?

Is there any potential difference across an ideal inductor?
I guess there should not be as electric field inside it is zero, but according to Faraday's law there is a induced voltage across it. Please help me connect these two contradicting statements.
