Kendall characterisation in this episode was just perfect writing. I spend 90% of the episode cringed by his lack of self awareness only to end up feeling so bad for the guy.

i really wish more critics, commentators, and the audience in general engaged and listened to the writers about the nuances of the show. The need to pigeon hole it in as a comedy or even try to define the genre, the insistence to not emotionally engage with the characters, it betrays the depth that these writers bring in. This show is really a complex piece of art and I wish more would engage with it as such.
