Many thanks!, nicely put; still have to see the rest of your videos but it would be great if you could comment on the high speed balancing procedure and some of these topics:
- balancing machine bearings (sleeve bearings, not always the actual tilting pad job bearings)
- pedestal stiffness vs actual turbine pedestal stiffness, (is the test HSB vibration amplitude representative of what will be later seen during machine operation?
- though not an API criteria, many users actually want to see the eddy current vibrations amplitude during HSB, as that is what trips the machine later on, and ask for very low amplitude after the test… HSB is sometimes seen as a preliminary “factory acceptance test”

Hi, if the rotor is operating above second critical speed with rocking mode, is it sufficient to perform only a lower speed balancing? Thanks
