I believe that The Monster from Piedras Blancas never died. He fell into a body of water without hitting his head on any jagged rocks. If he can withstand being hit by bullets and not even get a small scratch then he can survive a dive into some water. There are divers who do high dives all the time. We also know that the monster is an amphibian so he can breathe underwater. Therefore he is not going to drown. I believe some financial reason prevented the movie studio from doing a sequel. However, as a little kid I felt that the villagers should have fished him out and burned his body to ashes to make sure he could not return!!!! Trust me this monster scared the living daylights out of me!!!! He was scarier than IT the Terror and The Creature from the Black Lagoon put together!!!
