There was no objection to, or mention of, Federal Sports Minister Richard Colbeck also going to Tokyo for the Olympic bid. Not surprised. SkyNews viewers hate even-handedness.

I don't really care that she went to Tokyo. For me the bigger issue is, why are we trying to host the Olympics in the first place? It's a giant cash sink vanity project.

Dear SkyNews, the borders are a FEDERAL PROBLEM not a QLD problem.

Poor Palaszczuk. Damned if she does, Damned if she doesnt.

I love the way the QLD Olympic bunch jumped out of their chairs thinking the announcement would be as big as the Sydney announcement but no one cared.
Did anyone really want it? Most cities/countries who have had the Olympics have suffered enormous debt and abandoned infrastructure. Of course the politicians still claim them as a big success.

No one mentions the fact that the LNP Mayor of Brisbane was there as well

Pauline Hanson says Anastasia doesn’t care about going to host the Olympic Games, that will help Queensland immensely and it’s far more than she has ever done for our state. I agree, it’s a terrible time to travel but clearly she did it under duress

We must protect Mediawatch and the ABC from the LNP at all costs

The Minister for Death in Aged Care also went, and not a word about him.

with so many extremely lithe athletes in the village, such beds would not have prevented them from having sex, even if they were designed to stop them. Most of them would have seen it as a challenge, one that, at the peak of their lifetime physical fitness, they could easily overcome. and come. and come.

This is not about "anti-sex", it is about the Tokyo Olympics being SUSTAINABLE, and recycling these beds into re-usable materials.
Not everything is about sex.

Does anyone else think it's funny the Brisbane got the Olympics unopposed yet they cheer and carry on like there was no chance

Don’t people usually go out of their way to avoid apologising to avoid legal liability?

I'm worried about the Tokyo Olympics.
The WHO informed the athletes of each country that when the athletes returned home after the Olympics, they should take a precise examination of the radioactive cesium test of Fukushima ingredients and the physical condition caused by the heat of the heat., In particular, the players who swam in Tokyo Bay dung water were sure to be tested.
Meanwhile, Bollomberger said it would consider charging the Japanese government for damages in cooperation with the IOC if there is a problem with the health of athletes after the Olympics..

It's not like QLD thought at the last minute they wanted to host the Olympics because Tokyo was about to come. These things are years in planning way before covid, lots of work involved. The last thing you need is the leader of the host city no bothering to show up only to lose the bid... now imagine the headline on that news story!
It doesn't matter what she did or didn't do it's clear the media has chosen to spin negative light on Palaszczuk.
Alternative headline - "The woman that stuffed up the Olympics"

Queensland. A little over five million residents, 73% of whom live in the south-east corner. Fewer than 2, 000 Covid cases since the pandemic landed. Seven fatalities.

Do you think Queenslanders, by and large, are on board with a Premier who treats a public health issue as a public health issue? If you answered 'yes', gold star. And _actual_ gold standard.
