Hard to believe this mall opened in 1996, and it just feels like yesterday. I miss the old Deira City Center, I remember there was IKEA, WoolWorths, Continent (later Carrefour in 1999), JC Penny, BHS, and the old Magic Planet in the foodcourt before it got renovated in 2008-ish. I even remember the circular elevators in the central area of the mall, sadly now they are removed. Man now whenever I see DCC, i just feel old.
