FirstNet Innovation Lab

FirstNet’s technical headquarters in Boulder, Colo. is driving innovation for America’s first responders. Since opening for business in November 2016, the lab is fully operational and has been testing public safety functionality and features for the FirstNet broadband network, including Band 14 devices, deployables, applications and priority access. The lab will also address future network solutions that public safety expects the core to support, such as preemption, mission critical push-to-talk services and other public safety broadband technologies.

Designed to be inclusive, collaborative and accountable to first responders, the lab will deliver what public safety needs most by seeking input from first responders on its demonstrations and user evaluations.
