The tricky thing is even the informal one was really formal. No-one would say "minun nimeni on" (actually even in a quite formal situation), that's the written language way of saying "my name is". Instead people would say "mä oon/olen" or "mun nimi on" or something close to that depending on the area. So when learning Finnish you really need to learn it a lot by ear because the written language you learn in Finnish courses is quite a lot different.

2:35 Hey, we do say "hei" as hi just like many other countries. But "hei hei" means bye! So one hei is hi but two heis is bye.

I’ve been learning Finnish for two years and the best thing I learn in my life. I’ll never damp out to learning finnish I didn’t progress succesfully but one day I will speak like a native. By the way my Mother language is Turkish.
