Honda Technology: Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Показать описание
The Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) uses the ABS sensors and dedicated software to determine when a tire is low on pressure. How does it work, and how do you recalibrate the system after filling your tires with air? Watch how the Indirect TPMS works in this step by step video.

2019 model still has this last century technology. Can't believe it. It only gives you a warning when the tire is nearly completely flat (experienced that twice) - in both cases I had to replace the tire (damaged due to late warning). Honda seems to be the last car maker without proper system to measure the individual tire pressure ...

Got a flat tire a few days ago by some kind of puncture on the highway. Apparently I drove about a mile before I finally pulled over to check what was going on. The monitor didn’t let me know what was going on, I had to check. Once I had the spare on the vehicle then decided to let me know something was wrong. The tire was almost damaged to the point where I have to get a new set. I absolutely love my CRV but this is probably one of the worst things about the vehicle

As a new CR-V owner, I find this system to be a cheap cost saving measure by Honda. Most vehicles in this class have individual tire pressure monitors which I think is more convenient for the driver to specify which tire is losing pressure. With this system, you have to check all 4 tires! I miss my Sportage!! 35 GRAND for a CR-V should have this feature. The Sportage does. Come on Honda, don't become one of those greedy companies like the rest of the USA.

My 12 year old Buick had individual tire pressure monitors so now I trade it in on new technology and step backwards just so Honda can save a buck?

This the biggest thingbi hate honda: No individual tire pressure. And now they cut out of fog light on 2023 model. Come on honda

How can we check whether the calibration process is complete or not?

It’s 2022 and we still have this old technology. Honda is trying to save money with this cheap technology!! Bad.

Why you guys brag and emphasize CRV's safety features so much when it does not even tell you which tire has the problem? All my friends' cars indicate which tire is the problem even though their cars are older than my 2018 CRV. I was fcking embarrased when they told me that there is no way 2015+ vehicle does not have that function. Thank you for making me hate my car so much.

What a "great" system, where you have to drive the vehicle for a short time before you realize that you have a low tire! Please go hack to the individual tire sensors, so we can know immediately if there is a "low-tire-pressure" problem! and WHICH blasted tire it is!

just bought my 2018 CRV yes its a nice car but one thing I don't like about it its the TPMS system the sign pop up on my dashboard one time went and check all four tires but they were fine so something is wrong why would the TPMS sing came on when my tires are fine ? Went to the dealership they show me how to fix it but and told me what to do whenever it happened again, I'm not a mechanic but one thing I know is sensor are there for a reason if its pop up there's a reason and tires are fine.

I have to guess which tire? It’s 2018!

Terrible feature in my opinion. I want individual tire sensors. It is really the only thing that would keep me from recommending the CRV.

Indirect TPMS is a scam, one of my tires had lower pressure and this system didn't warn me, it only works if the tire is almost FLAT, cmon honda dont ruin your image
