if you like the a quad that flies at 130km/h, can fly like a racing wing or a rocket, you should like the SCREAMER 250!

Foxtech has been trying to develop more capability out of various existing racing copters for FPV racing hobbyiests. After numerous tests and improvements, here finally comes out the Screamer 250 FPV Racing Pentacopter.
Foxtech Screamer 250 Pentacopter is a FPV Racing drone to provide an ultimate and incomparable FPV experience. It mainly features in the rear thruster equipped with Foxtech 2208 kv2500 motor and 5" propeller, which can boost the speed over130km/h and makes aerobatic completely different than the ordinary racing copters in the market. With the rear thruster on, the high pitch howling would definitely WOW your club mates at the flying field!

Features:
- over130km/h speed with innovative Rear Thruster
The innovative rear thruster is a stunning feature for instant speedup, especially for sharp conerring; just a quick switch/knob trigger to gain more than 5 times acceleration reaction than other racers.
The rear thruster allows the pilot keeps the copter in track easily while doing aerobatic stunts. It also makes the pilot care free at low-attitude flight specially with high speed to fly through a FPV gate or other track obstacles, because the Screamer 250 can fly levelly at high speed acceleration while the common racing drones have to tilt downward in the front to speed up with high risk colliding onto the ground.
-Ready to fly kit,pre-assemblyed
-Integrated FPV system with 600TVL FPV mini camera and 5.8G 600mw 40CH video transmitter with race band.
-Aerodynamic profile, providing greater forward flight speed
-Dedicated motor protection
-Powerful and high efficiency power system
-LED lights in the rear for easy orientation
-3K full carbon fiber, light weight, rigid and durable

Really cool idea! It combines the best of mini-quads and racing wings.

Can't wait to see more flight footage.

I would love to know how the rear motor is controlled. i.e. the flight-controller logic behind how/when it is engaged.

Awesome presentation and I love this design. I'm very interested to see how this handles. Nice work Foxtech!

Perhaps a variable speed foot pedal to control the 5th motor when you want a burst of speed, not sure how something like could be integrated

that took along time to say they put a push motor on the tail

Owesome, the 4 usual motors now can be lighter and only meant to roll and pitch the copter. How do we mix the channels out of the Rx in order to drive the 5th motor?

are you sending screamers out for review fu as i would love one to try . wayne

how do you control the throttle of the 5th motor? It seems that you can only start spinning it after taking off.

I have a question, if I might. I know you say stop rear motor to land, but if the props are vertical when they stop, wont that damage them? I know most folks that race will just land in grass and it won't be an issue, but is there any way to force a stop so that the prop is horizontal? A review model would be super cool to get. This looks like a great design! Lots of fun.

Is it possible to use HTC vive as a fpv goggle?

I really like the idea, But this also makes me question some thing, First of all. The downward blowing air from the backpropellers (the ones that are raised) . The vortex that they create, do they not influence the motor quiet a lot ? Also at higher speed's the horizantal mounted propellers basically lose a lot of ther thrust as the blade is receiving very fast horizontal moving air instead of static air as it would when it is at an higher angle. ?

I also wanted to know if you fly like this compared to a regular Quad, do you also have longer flighttimes ? at a high speed compared to a regular Quad flying at a regular speed. I would like to see some real scientific testing... Really like the idea..

the normal 4s 210mm quad with 200 grams of extra weight (dubai setup) can go 125kmh so dont see the speed improvement
