Here is my view of how Diavolo’s abilities work.(I have not read the manga) Diavolo has a radius where he can erase time by a certain amount. During the ability Diavolo is able to keep his own consciousness and remember what happens during time erasure but everyone the ability is affected by it won’t remember it. The action always happens but nobody but Diavolo knows it happened. So basically if Diavolo is hit by an unavoidable attack he can’t stop it from happening. Instead he would just make it happen faster than it appears to be. It is possible that Diavolo can allow someone to enter the time erasure zone temporarily or he can make a hologram of the future appear infront of someone then it becomes the real deal.(Its the possible reasons why Bucciarati saw himself during his first encounter.) He can also see the result at the end of his time erasure ahead of time.(Epitaph)
Diavolo will certainly loose the fight against Dio as his ability is outclassed. Time erasure can’t stop time stop. Itll merely skip to the time where he gets beaten the crap out of him.

If King Crimison can hit DIO it is over but DIO has vampiric regen sense + a stand that is claimed to be faster than Star Platinum. As it can dodge punches coming from Star Platinum it is much much faster than the speed of light and star platinum DIO is most likely to win. Diavolo has only one chance to hit DIO but he needs to go for the head.

I feel like Diavolo would be able to foresee DIO’s time-stops using Epitaph and just activate time-erasure right before DIO activates his time-stop. That way everything during time-stop will occur within time-erasure, and in turn will strip DIO of the power to pause time for a little while (because of cool-down) and place him in a state of confusion.

DIO definitely wins most of the categories, I agree. I just believe that Diavolo’s crazy hax would earn him the overall victory anyway, ‘cause that shiz OP🥶🥵
